My Homeschool Expert™ was founded by Stefanie Palazzolo in 2020. With masters and postgraduate degrees in childhood education, child development, and educational policy, Stefanie has spent over two decades on curriculum and instruction across PK–12, public and private coaching and consulting, and facilitating major shifts at the district, school, co-op, and family levels in both general and special education.

She began her career in her native New York City schools, where she led initiatives that drove record student achievement, and later co-directed modern transitions for the nation’s largest school system.

Inspired by that experience, Stefanie launched My Homeschool Expert™ to help families confidently navigate state laws, create personalized curricula, and build thriving home learning environments.

After spending years in traditional education, Stefanie saw a recurring problem: incredible children were often placed into systems that were not designed around their individual needs.

Some students needed to move faster. Some needed more support. Some needed a quieter environment. Some needed more time outdoors, more hands-on learning, more flexibility, or an entirely different approach.

Families were searching for answers—but often had nowhere to turn.

That realization led to the creation of My Homeschool Expert™️: a place where families could receive expert guidance, personalized planning, and ongoing support while creating an education that truly fits their child.

Today, My Homeschool Expert™️ works with families across the United States—from those beginning their homeschooling journey to families creating highly customized educational experiences involving private teachers, pods, online schools, travel-based learning, and long-term academic planning.
